Controls International Awarded Security System Project
in Union County Improvement District
Freehold,
New Jersey (November 1, 2005) - Access
Controls International (ACI), a leading provider of
security systems and technologies for residential, commercial
and government customers throughout North America, announced
today that it has been awarded an additional contract
for work on a project in the Union County Improvement
District, in Plainfield, New Jersey. The company, which
completed the installation of scanners, metal detectors
and surveillance cameras in the new four-story Park
Madison property on Front Street in May, will now install
a sophisticated alarm system that will connect to the
Plainfield Police Station. The Park Madison redevelopment
building houses the Union County and State of New Jersey
government in offices on three floors.
The project, awarded
by the contractor on behalf of the Union County Improvement
Authority, is part of a redevelopment initiative in
the county.
To date, ACI has
installed access control proximity devices and readers
on doors and elevator stations throughout the building,
along with corridor surveillance cameras to ensure the
safety and security of local and state government workers
and the citizens of Union County. Each of the devices
employs technology that allows information to be fed
to a central station for monitoring. ACI has completed
the issuance of 400 graphic proximity cards and trained
county personnel on how to create additional cards,
as well as how to maintain the security information
technology system, including the database of users.
"We are pleased
that we have again been selected to provide a complete
security network and package for this important redevelopment
project," said ACI President, Paul Grossman. "We
appreciate the confidence that the contractor and the
county continue to show in us. Access Controls understands
the importance of installing security that is effective,
but not intrusive, and which allows the business of
local government to take place unimpeded."
