Motorized Doors and Gates must have an automatic way of closing to insure security and prevent unauthorized tailgating.  Relying upon the vehicle operator to manually close the door or gate is not practical and subjects the controlled area to security breaches.  This is especially true for multi-occupancy parking facilities.

ACI provides two self-closing products that are seamlessly interfaced with virtually all door and gate systems. 

A self-closing timer can be used where the need is simply to prevent a door or gate from remaining open for an extended period of time and where security of the area is not a high concern. Typically the timer can be variably set for different periods of elapsed time.

Where security is a greater concern, a Magnetic Loop Detector and underground burial loop will ensure that the door or gate closes immediately after the vehicle has passed.  The buried wire coil loop senses the metal of a passing vehicle and when the vehicle clears the opening, closes the door or gate. The wire coil loop comes pre-formed to simplify installation and is available in various sizes (4' x 8' is standard).
